Friday needed an advanced point-of-sale (POS) system to enhance restaurant management. The Challenge

Friday faced three core operational challenges that were holding back their restaurant management capabilities. First, integration challenges.Friday required a system that could effectively integrate with their existing processes and workflows to improve overall operations without disrupting day-to-day service. Second, order accuracy issues.persistent inaccuracies in order processing were creating friction between front-of-house staff, the kitchen, and customers, leading to waste and dissatisfaction. Third, an underwhelming customer experience.the absence of modern convenience features like a Kitchen Display System (KDS), real-time delivery management, and self-checkout options was limiting efficiency and leaving customers with a below-average experience compared to modern restaurant platforms.

Research & Strategy

We began by conducting a thorough audit of Friday's existing restaurant operations and technology workflows, mapping every touchpoint from order entry through to kitchen fulfillment and customer delivery. Rather than retrofitting an off-the-shelf system, we designed a POS platform from the ground up.one that could be tailored specifically to Friday's operational model. We prioritized seamless integration with existing processes, ensuring zero disruption to live restaurant operations during rollout. Development was structured in phased sprints, with each feature.KDS, delivery management, self-checkout.validated with Friday's operations team before moving forward.
